Cosmos bipinnatus 'Dwarf Sensation Pink with Ring'
Compact cosmos with elegant pink flowers and a distinctive dark rose ring

Cosmos bipinnatus 'Dwarf Sensation Pink with Ring' is a compact cosmos producing elegant pink, daisy-like flowers distinguished by a darker rose-pink ring surrounding the golden-yellow centre. The finely divided, feathery foliage provides an airy background to the blooms, while the shorter growth habit makes this form easier to accommodate than traditional tall Sensation cosmos.

Free-flowering throughout summer, this easy annual performs best in full sun and well-drained soil. Its compact habit makes it particularly useful for borders, cottage gardens and larger containers, while regular cutting and deadheading encourage a continuous display of flowers that are also highly attractive to bees and other pollinating insects.

Expert Growing Tips

● Avoid rich soil and excessive fertiliser, as high fertility encourages lush foliage at the expense of flowers.

● Pinch out the growing tips of young plants to encourage a bushier habit and more flowering stems.

● Deadhead regularly or pick flowers for the vase to prevent seed formation and prolong flowering into autumn.

● Water young plants during establishment, but once established cosmos performs well in relatively dry conditions.

● Grow in full sun for strong, compact plants and the most abundant flower production.
